Our Veterinary Team

Dr. Koten

Owner and Veterinarian

At Lindale Pet Hospital, I enjoy working with both small and large animals. I understand that it’s not easy when your family pet or farm animal is sick so I always treat my patients how I would want to be treated myself. I love the challenge of orthopedic surgery, and I am passionate about performing whatever type of surgery is in the animal’s best interest. Along with Joni Koten, my wife and the office manager here at Lindale Pet Hospital, I strive to offer the most up-to-date veterinary medicine and surgery available at an affordable price.

As a hard-working and ambitious veterinary doctor, I do my best to earn your confidence and trust. The well-being of my patients has always been my top priority and will remain so throughout my career. I am pleased to be a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Joni and I are the proud parents of a son and a two-year-old daughter. When we’re not at the clinic, we enjoy spending time together riding horses.

Thank you for allowing me to serve you and the animals you love.

Joni Koten

Office Manager

I am excited to be a part of the team here at Lindale Pet Hospital along with my husband, Dr. Nick Koten. I graduated with a BS in Animal Science from Texas A & M in 2010 and currently serve as the clinic’s office manager. As a lifelong animal lover and a native Texan, this job is the ideal fit for me.

I am passionate about all animals, both big and small. I enjoy rescuing and rehabilitating animals so they can lead the best life possible. I also enjoy training animals and am proud to have trained my own golden retriever to work as a service dog.

Besides animals and my family, my other big passion in life is being outdoors. I like to plant flowers and vegetables in my own garden as well as fruit trees. My husband and I enjoy riding horses, and spending time with our son Landon and daughter Addison.

My motto in life is “Family, no matter who or what they are, is the most important thing in life. You can’t get that back once it’s gone, so enjoy and love them while you can because tomorrow is never guaranteed.” I know that your animals are a part of your family and I’m happy to play a role in keeping them with you for as long as possible.

Chelsea Crowell

Chelsea Crowell

Veterinary Technician

Chelsea has brought her lifelong passion of helping animals to her role at LPH, since February 2017. She has a hand at grooming on occasion and brings a different skill to the team. When not on duty at work, she tends to “The Crowell Zoo” at home, which includes 8 cats, three dogs, a bearded dragon named “Reginald”, and two-Quarter Horses. As an outdoor enthusiast she enjoys; fishing, camping with her husband and being in the saddle.

Carla Coe

Lead Kennel Tech

Carla started with LPH in 2017, she had limited experience but a heart to learn and passion for animals. She quickly became the matriarch of the team and one we all could learn from. Her pet patients are just that in her care “hers”, every pet gets treated with luxury accommodations and is loved like her own. Carla enjoys gardening and planting flowers in her spare time, along with just being outside. You can almost always find her in the clinic flower beds and taking care of everything that grows, along with spoiling her pet patients. Carla has several fur babies of her own from two dogs, two cats, and several chickens.

She counts a Great Dane (Scooby), a Boxer (Maddox), and a Labrador (Lucy) as her fur-children, and notes that all three are convinced they are lap dogs.

You will find me anywhere at any given time, ready for love and attention! ( I practically own the place!) Can you find me?!?
